If you have an old laptop or desktop needing an updated Wi-Fi card, look no further than the NewerTech MAXPower Wireless USB 2.0 Stick Adapter and Extension Cradle.

Signal reception is excellent and installation of the drivers is simple on both Mac and PC. We tested the MAXPower USB WI-FI Adapter here in our offices and found that even through several walls, signal strength was very strong. The device also boasts an incredible 200-foot indoor reception range. While most laptops come with built-in WI-FI these days, most of them are equipped with 802.11g/b wireless cards. In comparison to the MAXPower, the regular 802.11g/b wireless cards only have a range of approximately 60 feet. This might limit your options, but with MAXPOWER, you’re able to move freely and pick up Wi-Fi signal in places you wouldn’t have reached before.

Paired with an excellent router, in our case the Aiport Extreme-N, you have a product that is worth every penny. This is especially a good investment to get more life out of that laptop/desktop that you have grown to love. An operating system of OS-X 10.3.9 or later (Mac), or Windows 2000 and above is required to run this product.
