| 1980's: First company to develop and sell memory products for the Macintosh® computer line. The DART high-density memory system increased computer performance up to 2000%. The Attention! memory board and hardware/software upgrades were unveiled for both IBM®-compatible and Macintosh computers. | |

1990's: Brought automated surface-mount capabilities in-house to provide highest quality memory upgrade manufacturing. Added SCSI to DART product. Apple, Inc.® uses Newer Technology, Inc. memory modules in its first PowerBook® demonstrations in 1991. Faced with changing market conditions in the late 1990’s, the NewerTech product line was expanded to include MAXPower multi-speed processor accelerators for Macintosh computers. NewerTech was the first company in the world to offer processor upgrades for Power Macintosh 604, Power Mac® G3, Power Mac G4, iMac® G3, iMac G4, PowerBook® 603e, and PowerBook G3 machines. |

The 2000’s have further solidified NewerTech’s reputation as a leading developer of performance upgrades for Macintosh desktop computers, PowerBooks, iMacs, Intel-based Macintosh computers, and iPods®. June 2002: Introduced industry’s first G4 Pismo processor upgrade for PowerBook G3. September 2003: NuPower® Lithium Ion Batteries introduced for PowerBook G3 and G4 models. These high capacity batteries deliver the longest runtimes of any stock replacement battery available. August 2004: Introduced NewerTech FM Transmitter for playing iPod through automobile audio system. September 2004: NuPower Lithium Polymer battery for iPod with 70% more capacity than factory battery announced. July 2005: NewerTech miniStack® unveiled to give Macintosh mini owners external hard drive space from 80-400GB, faster storage performance, and more FireWire® and USB ports. December 2005: NewerTech miniStack receives multiple industry awards and accolades – MacAddict Editor’s Choice, Macworld Top Product, 123macmini Accessory of the Year. January 2006: Utilizing state-of-the-art Level 3 plastic polish and advanced chemistry bonds, the NewerTech Clean & Polish Kit enables iPod owners to remove scratches and restore color and OEM shine to their players. February 2006: The NuPower Battery for PowerBook Aluminum models features the highest capacity available in a replacement battery. May 2006: miniStack V2 heralds first ever 750GB FireWire/USB port expansion solution that works with any Apple® or PC computer with an available FireWire or USB port. June 2006: The NewerTech USB 2.0 Universal Drive Adapter is developed to allow users to externally connect hard drives and optical drives to Macintosh or Windows-based computers. August 2006: Shipping over 10,000 NuPower Batteries a month requires good citizenship. NewerTech launches free battery recycling program with the purchase of each NuPower PowerBook and iBook replacement battery. August 2006: NewerTech resurrects the MAXPower® name for a new line of single and dual processor upgrades for the PowerMac G4 that doubles or triples performance, increases universal software compatibility, and allows use of applications that require a higher speed processor over the factory stock speed. September 2006: The NuPower Lithium-Polymer replacement battery
for iPod 4G 40GB and all iPod Photo models begins shipping. It’s
the highest capacity replacement battery available for the 4G and
Photo iPods and delivers up to 114% more run time than the original
stock Apple battery. |
